SUMMARY OF LIST OF ACHIEVEMENTS

Engineering and Management

  • Supervised successful development and implementation of algorithm for scheduling software partitions in a deterministic integrated modular avionics architecture increasing system growth capacity by 20% and doubling the execution efficiency.
  • Led and developed unique information system used by senior management to reach “make-buy” decision for 200 suppliers and 1,800 acquisition items achieving a 35 percent reduction in evaluation time.
  • As a team member of 5, planned and implemented “hands-on” department consolidation and reorganization with annual staffing and budget reduction of 10-15 percent over 3 years while meeting or exceeding business goals.
  • Designed and implemented a total material delivery system to support a Demand Flow Technology manufacturing process. Reduced production inventory by 17 percent over 2-year period.
  • Led a cross-functional team consisting of Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineers, Procurement, Production Planning and Quality to significantly reduce cycle time. Team collapse total cycle times by 48 percent in 18 Months.

  • Designed and implemented Microsoft Active directory 2003 and exchange server 2007 at the NBS head office in Juba and the data processing center in Rumbek, South Sudan.
  • Customer Service
  • Successfully obtained funding and implemented 4.4 million Customer Service Project to replace order processing systems on time and under budget by $250,000.
  • Received management recognition and cash award for organizing and implementing department wide activities for International Customer Week.
  • Recommended to management and assisted in development of a customer information database to retrieve customer requirements and deliver information, significantly improving accountability, and customer service and department efficiency.

 

Training and Development

  • Contributed as a Training Team member that setup and delivered Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) classes department wide successfully introducing cultural change, team, and quality initiatives.
  • Lead a department wide cross-functional team to develop and deliver a 12-hour training program to familiarize new employees with internal workflow process. Productivity and morale were significantly impacted.

 

Major Data Processing and Project Management

  • As Chief of Data Processing for the NBS, recruited over 182 persons to process the 5th Sudan Population and Housing Census, 2008 in Rumbek, South Sudan. The data was processes and priority results were released within one year.
  • As Chief of Data Processing for NBS, oversaw the data capture and processing of the National Baseline Household Survey (NBHS, 2009). This was the second major national sample survey implemented in Sudan after the CPA 2005. Results were released within one year.
  • As Chief of Data Processing for NBS, oversaw the data capture and processing of the Malaria Indicator Survey (MIS, 2010) this was the first comprehensive malaria survey
  • Conducted by the NBS with support from Ministry of Health. Results were released in late 2010.
  • As Chief of Data Processing for NBS, oversaw the data capture and processing of the Southern Sudan Health Household Survey II (SSHHS, 2010). Results were released in early 2011.
  • Other surveys processed under my leadership include Business listing 2010, Business Survey, 2010, Social Protection Survey, 2009, and Education Survey, 2010.

 

CONSULTANCY WORK

 

FULLA HYDRO POWER PROJECT, NIMULE, SOUTH SUDAN

Prepared at the request of Norplan-Norway through the Ministry of Electricity and Dams in Juba, South Sudan on behalf of the Ma’di Community in South Sudan:

 

  • The first report prepared in June 2006. The 2006 report “COMMENTS ON FULLA RAPIDS HYDROPOWER DEVELOPMENT PROJECT ASSESSMENT REPORT, 2006” reviewed the Fulla Rapids Hydropower Project “Inception Report”, Norplan, 2006, prepared by Norplan which dealt with the power plant only.

 

  • The second report to a large extent is an updated version of first report “COMMENTS ON FULLA RAPIDS HYDROPOWER DEVELOPMENT PROJECT ASSESSMENT REPORT, 2012”. The report comes as the result of review of the two Environmental and Social Impact Assessment reports, Volumes 1B and 2B, and the Fulla Hydropower Plant Project Feasibility Study report, Volume 1A, and the Transmission line Feasibility Study report, Volume 2A.
